Omg. She fixed my dress in 2021. I kinda procrastinated on finding someone to alter my dress(not big changes) but the universe was kind and sent me to Sew It. I felt the price was great and the alterations were spot on. She's so extremely kind and professional. I felt heard during my appointments and felt beautiful on my wedding day. (super sorry for the late praise!) This is the place to go. Highly recommend it!
I couldn’t recommend Katherine and her assistant more! She is super transparent with her pricing, and will even ask you if you want a cheaper or more expensive route for specific alterations. I went to her for my wedding, and also sent all of my bridesmaids there. And then my maid of honor enjoyed her so much that she went there as well. Unfortunately I had a really bad experience with Katherine at Sew It. I took my wedding dress in for alterations, the dress was hemmed too short (she said it just wasn’t pressed), it was too short after pressing. Bra pads were sewn in but edges were visible. Embellishments were sewn in the wrong spot (I had explained and showed her a photo of what I wanted and they would have fit if sewn on like I requested), they were also loose and not secure. Katherine is amazing! working with her was a blast! she made me feel right at home each time i walked into the door and she’s very easy to talk to :) she did an incredible job with my dress. my bustle held up flawlessly and she color coded each string to its coordinating piece so it was easy for my bridesmaids to tie! she also added detachable straps so the look of the dress could change for the reception. i’ll definitely be back for all my alteration needs! 20/10 recommend! thanks a million, katherine! :)
