I had a very difficult to treat cancer. My prior doctor said I had 6 months. It's now been 10 years. Dr. Song kept relentlessly researching ways to help me and tailored things to my disease. I trust him with my life.
I found him to be much more thoughtful about trying different options. Has top training from the east coast. How many Harvard trained doctors do you find in San Diego? Another patient in the waiting room had been told he had 6 months to live. That was 40 years ago. There can be long wait times, but I'd rather wait for a good doctor than have no wait with a bad doctor. Especially with this disease.
Extremely Rude, unprofessional, aggressive and hostile. For the doctor who deals with patients with cancer, I was appalled to witness so much hostility toward a patient. He was telling that patient that she needs to learn how to speak to people just because that patient was asking questions about her condition. Do not come here if you have cancer because if you are depressed because of the condition, you will leave here with even deeper depression. I got up and left right away.
Dr. Song has a weird personality, and it took me a while to get to know him and realise that, in fact, he is a very good doctor of a very good heart. So my advice would be: Be patient to him!
Very kind, patient, and funny during this horrible time. I met patients who came in with a 6 month prognosis and are still around more than 10 years later. Thank you for taking me into your busy schedule. (Wait time is long, but after going to Dr Song I think I'd feel worse if a doctor had no patients).
Everything negative you read about this office is completely true. Stay far away from this office they are incompetent and waste your time. They make appointments just to tell you your insurance denied your claim and make you pay a co pay. One and a half hour of waiting and the only information we received is that the insurance denied the test. I understand but if the cancer is very aggressive and practically killing someone wouldn't your billing follow up and instantly submit an appeal
I have worked with many oncologists for my entire professional life as a cancer counselor; Dr. Song is the one most fully dedicated to healing disease without regard to patient status, personality, race or income. He's a diagnostic genius and also hard-working in the extreme but takes time for the realization of his own humanity. He's a loyal patient ally with aggressive strategies to rid the world of cancer.
