My mom brought in a squirrel that had been hit by a car to this hospital, in the hopes that the doctor would be able to put it out of its misery, as it was suffering. The doctor rudely told her that "putting it to sleep would come out of his profits." I have a hard time understanding how someone whose chosen profession is to care for and help animals could be so cold hearted. I understand this wasn't a dog or a cat, or someone's pet. Dr. Brown and Marty came to my house today to euthanize our baby girl, Chloe. She was 13 years old, FIV+ and took a turn for the worst Dr. Brown and Marty made this as easy as possible for us and was so compassionate throughout the whole experience. Thank you so much!!! I can't express my gratitude enough.

I cannot say enough good things about Setauket Animal Hospital! They have been amazing throughout my cat's 2 year battle with a rare cancer. The whole office rallied around us when we had to put him down, hugged me when I cried and walked us out to the car. In the mail I received a personalized card from each of the staff! Heartwarming! From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank Dr. Brown and his staff for their compassion this past weekend. Our beloved cat was nearing the end of her life and we had to make the worst decision to euthanize her. Dr. Brown stayed after hours and was comforting and compassionate the whole way. He was cautious with his words in front of our 10 year old, who was dealing with losing her "sister". Thank you for making this most difficult time just a little easier.
