Earlier this year, my fuel oil furnace blew up resulting in a major puffback issue that caused soot to come out of every vent in my house, with the main damage being in my basement (see before and after photos). All of my walls, carpet, belongings, furniture, etc. had been covered in soot, which was nearly impossible (and frustrating) for my family and I to clean on our own.
