I drove 7 hrs to pick up my settlement check from my lawyer today. I went to the bank that drew the check which was Servisfirst Bank and they refused to cash it because i had the goverment issued paper copy of my driver's license which is valid for 120 days. This is absolutely ridiculous as this is the id given to me by the dmv and is valid for the police, for gas stations, for bars, for employment, etc. So why was it refused by your bank to cash my check.
