While the service was great this is not a 4 star hotel. The water would turn off for 10 seconds mid shower, the beds and pillows are firm and uncomfortable, and the TV needed to be fixed before we could use it. The location is not right in the Tenderloin but it’s definitely close, which we didn’t mind but know it will be noisy. There is free coffee from 6-10am which was great and the rooms were clean and the staff are friendly, but it lacks in comfort.
Stayed for 2 nights. The rooms are nice and comfortable, if a little small. Since it's an older building, I don't fault them for that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My 2 complaints: They charge some vague "amenity fee" that is annoying and silly. Second, the area is right on the edge of the Tenderloin district and there are a fair number of bums and junkies wandering around. I enjoyed my stay, but would choose a different property on my next visit.
