I requested for someone who specializes in my mental illness and the first visit the counselor minimized my mental illness and tried to diagnosis me with something else. Was prescribed medication that didn't work and caused ER visit for panic attack and I tried to get another appointment with the NP since new meds caused continuous heart palpitations and more anxiety and was denied by the very same counselor who was short with me and said I needed to see her first due to some policy they have that she couldn't explain why. Incredible staff all the way around! Everyone here genuinely cares for not only the patients but the family as a whole! Most places feel clinical which can make it hard for some to truly open up. At Serenity Psychiatric Outpatient it's positive and inviting. I highly recommend!
