We have had nothing but problems since we started living here. Our first issue was that our AC was out the first 3 days we lived there. It’s hot in July and was over 80 inside. One of our key fobs was broken when it was given to us, and never worked. Had to wait a few days to get a replacement. Our next issue is the moldy spout in the bathtub, and no hot water pressure, which has still yet to be fixed. It is like pulling teeth to try to coordinate with maintenance to get the issues fixed. I just wanted to say that for the last 2 months we have lived here, this is the best experience we have had to date with renting an apartment. Kathi is the best and kindest property manager I have ever worked with. She was infinitely helpful with my move-in process (which involved a 4 day drive across the country), and called to check in with us on our arrival day to make sure she would be in the office when we got there. I have lived at Serene at Woodlake for over five years. For most of my time at this complex, I enjoyed my stay. The neighborhood is nice, it is relatively quiet, and it is in a pretty good location. However, the recent company/management that now run Serene at Woodlake apartments are some of the worst I have worked with. I averaged a 3% increase in rent annually—the new management was asking for over a 20% increase to renew my lease, making it extremely unaffordable to live here. The apartment itself was in poor condition and not properly cleaned before move-in. There were also a lot of pest problems, which made living there very uncomfortable. On top of all that, the neighbors were loud and inconsiderate, making it difficult to get any peace and quiet. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent living experience.
