I recently requested a referral to rheumatology for my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a connective tissue disorder that causes chronic pain and requires specialized care. Unable to make appointments within a six month timeline, this should consist of malpractice.
I waited 4 months to get an appointment due to 2 er visits for this place and a few weeks before my appointment, they canceled it due to "unforeseen circumstances". So I call and try to rebook and they don't have another appointment until December!? What the hell is going on with the medical system this is absolutely absurd. Is there no accountability anymore? I'm baffled by the lack of callus and apathy that medical professionals have nowadays.
