I would not come to this office if you’re looking to have support when exclusively breastfeeding your baby. Dr. Schmidt really needs to update his knowledge on breastfeeding and meet with an IBCLC. His recommendations don’t even follow what the AAP recommends. First visit I told him my son had a tongue tie revision done before we moved (we moved right before he turned 1 month old) Dr. Schmidt immediately told me that tongue ties are a fad and a scam run by pediatric dentists. June 2023, we had an even better physician and experience for our 3 year old daughter. I requested the lady physician, since Doctor Schmitt was not available for the next 2 or 3 months. This lady physician was phenomenal working with our 3 year old daughter. We learned some things with her, she was very down to earth, personable and easy to talk to. Dr. Chelsea Johnson is her name, she travels to Elizabeth City NC and other locations throughout the United States to assist when short of physicians. Highly recommend her and I ... read more
