It has a top notch womens facilities that deliver babies! My Son Coreys' first born was brought into this world yesterday!
After suffering a dog bite, we brought my 5 year old to the ED, and they did great with her. Our whole trip was around 2.5 hours, everything included. I watched the waiting room go from packed to almost empty in the little amount of time we waited to go back. After that, everything went fast and about as smoothly as stitching up a 5 year old can go. We were discharged within minutes of the procedure being completed with all aftercare instructions. Most of the nurses were wonderful and the doctors were wonderful but it is the slowest hospital in Hampton roads. But the patient relations ladies came by the first morning that I was there. All in all it was okay.
We were in and out and the nurses and doctor who cared for my daughter were top notch and extremely friendly.
This was not my first time having surgery or being admitted to obici. Each time has been good. This time they took excellent care. At no time was I in any pain. They stayed on top of my pain level. Anything I needed or my family needed the nursing staff was there. The doctors were excellent. Everyone had very excellent bedside manner. I would recommend this hospital to anyone!���
Would have not chosen another hospital to delivery my baby! Sentara Obici maternity ward is amazing! All the nurses for you and your baby have your care first and so passionate of their jobs! The rooms are spacious and accommodating for labor and post!!
