The surgery team told me that I could I could go home while my father was in, since he was going to a few hours and admitted over night. They said that they would send his over night/ recovery bag with him. They did not send it with him and we had to figure out where it was when we picked him up. I also kept calling to see when he was going to be discharged and the phone would ring until it hung up on me. So I was unable to speak to a nurse the whole time he was in. I used the valet parking.
