Came here on Friday July 11th with SEVERE pain in my lower back, sides, and abdomen. Im 20 weeks pregnant with my first and wanted to be sure everything was okay. They did a urinalysis and said everything was fine then sent me home. I got my results on my sentara app that night and i’m not sure they even looked at my results or did not care enough to help me, but it was clear i had an infection of some sort. I had been dealing with the flu and unable to retain any liquids. I understand that the flu isn't an emergency necessarily, but unfortunately, urgent cares don't usually do IVs. When we walked in, my mom and I at first thought we must've walked into the wrong entrance because of how serene the atmosphere was. Nope! My partner had a TIA at 19 a month ago, his dr told him if he has any bad headaches, dizziness, lightheadedness or other concerning symptoms to go to the ER immediately. So we did, for the above symptoms plus severe chronic heartburn and chest pain. They did absolutely nothing for his head sx and gave him liquid lidocaine for his chest and discharged him.
