Last year on a routine exam, Dr. Zitko found bleeding in the back of my eye. His quick reaction to get me in to a retina specialist is a testament to his care and professionalism.
Had cataract surgery a year ago. Halos are so bad I can't really drive at night. I have dry eyes now, didn't before. When my husband had his surgery with Dr. Selser Jr. several years ago, they treated him like a king. I was treated more like the scrub woman. Had to fight to get a contact lens for one eye so I could see between both surgeries. I think Dr. Selser is absolutely amazing. He did a wonderful job removing my cataracts. He made it so I can see vivid colors and drive at night. I don't even need to wear glasses any more . I was so impressed that I told my sister who also went to him for her surgery. Everyone associated with him treated me with kindness and respect. There was no wait time at all.
His pocket girl, Kelly (the 2nd floor supervisor) was standing next to him while she talked down to me like a dog. Never said a word. Very unprofessional, I'll never be back.
I would highly recommend Dr. Starr. He is very friendly, and very concerned with any issues you may have. Office staff is very friendly and helpful.
I recommend Dr. Starr to anyone and everyone. He is professional, efficient, and up to date with the latest technology. I trust him with my eyes and my families too!
Total joke of an office. His right hand nurse lacks ethics, morals and values and does not keep her word. I would not allow her to watch my goldfish while vacationing. Dr. Selser portrays himself as a professional, and he very well could be, but as a partner in an established Opthamology Office he really should be able provide the services that he advertises. Like, LASIK. Also, his nursing staff needs retrained in common courtesy and decency.
I was very disappointed with my visit. I was so excited to go and get new glasses. I called and have my insurance, they said they were in network and a provider. Of course when I got there they called to verify. When I'm finished with my appointment, I'm told to pick out a pair of glasses. I asked what my insurance covers and after waiting 20 minutes for an answer they said it only covered my exam and I'd have to go somewhere else for my glasses. Now I've received a $228 bill for the exam :/
