The charming red and white cottage with a little stone pond, where Selma's is housed, is one of the most popular neighborhood ice cream hub. Opened in 1900 in an ammunition storage building, Selma's is MInnesota's oldest ice cream shop. Choose from around 30 seasonal and regular flavors like black licorice, blueberry cheesecake, Fat Elvis etc. You can also go for a cup of coffee or pop some tasty candies offered on their menu. This pleasant shop in the picturesque Afton is a must-visit.

Great ice cream all-around great experience thanks
Great tasteful ice cream and wonderful atmosphere!
This is truly an ice cream shop. I try to take my mother there each time I visit in April and September
Ice cream was good and price was fair. I appreciated that they labeled the gluten free choices. It was a bit chaotic trying to order however. They should have a list of flavors with descriptions maybe outside the door so you can decide before getting inside. Someone cut in front of us in line due to everyone trying to see what flavors to get and staff just helps whoever is in front of them whether they are next or not.
We love Selma's! Great selection of ice cream, friendly staff, awesome atmosphere and hardly ever much of a line! You can sit inside or out on the adorable patio and the kids can play at the cute little park across the street.... What's not to love?!
I loved this place when I was 2 and I love this place at 52. Very little has changed and that is a good thing. A short drive through the winding bluffs of the St. Croix valley, and I am transported back to the sights and sounds and smells of a simpler time. Iconic.
My daughter had a tournament 12 minutes away from Selmas which my husband use to stop in when he use to ride motorcycle. We decided to see if it was still around and sure enough it is and doing really well. It's a very cute little place with lots of goodies! I love the almond milk latte which you can actually taste the coffee in it and it was creamy with goodness. The ice cream was a hit with the kids! The price was very very friendly on my wallet!
