If I could give a zero I would, my mother went there in pretty good condition and left in the worse condition of her life. Thank GOD I had the sense to take her elsewhere. I will start with day two, her phone was gone no one knew where it went, then her blood sugar dropped to 29 and she was out of it. We can’t say enough good about this facility. All of the people from admin staff to nurses to CNAs to the cleaning staff have been extremely helpful, caring and compassionate to our family and my dad while he was getting care here. It is near the end of our 6 week stay and the caseworker is working diligently to find us a next level care facility that meets our needs. Thank you everyone at Select Specialty Hospital!
DO NOT GO HERE... somehow the bad reviews get unseen but unless your loved one can take care of themselves and call you from a phone in reach... the alarms go off no one comes the doctors dont come unless they feel like it no nurse can give you updates on your loved one cause no one communicates with each other.... this is a sad lonely dreary place and the people are here for a check not because of the sick patients they could care less...so if you are taking the time to read this please reconsider putting your loved ones he... read more
Do not let the dr. refer your loved ones here! They bill themselves as a "long term" hospital. This, in my opinion is not "long term" or a "hospital". I have spent a lot of time in hospitals and a skilled nursing facility is one step above this place. Most of the nurses are fine, but those in charge are more concerned about getting you to leave than getting you well. It seems all about the bottom line. My stay at Select Specialty Hospital was awesome. Every employee from the nurses doctors down to the housekeepers when they came in my room would always ask me if there was anything they could do for me and they ended live in my room as soon as aim person my room was very clean and spacious why was spectacular. The doctors and nurses War very knowledgeable and they explained every detail of what they were doing to me. I got really good care there and had no complaints at all. Would rather not be in the hospital but if I needed to I would return to Select. The care was very good and I was able to go home as a result. Thank you for everything!
We were so thankful to have such a nice facility to bring our loved one to. We had peace of mind when we had to leave her and drive 3 hours away to go home. Everyone has been vice nice and respectful. The physicians gave us good information regarding medications and care. Great hospital!
If I can't be close to home, I would rather be here at Select.
I have to rate as one star so I can post my review. Our rating is a true 0 star. Horrible! Lacking caring and compassionate staff. So many terrible incidents. Pending legal action against the "hospital". For instance, a CNA was going from room to room in the same disposable gown that she wore into a room with a patient who had the contagious C. Diff.
