I test drove a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek and took it to a mechanic. It needed over $6,000 worth of work done to be road worthy, some of which the owner said he had done. I offered a lower price, so I could afford to get the work done. He didn't accept. I just checked and it's still on the lot.
