Nothing about this meal was good
Well...the food is good. Its over priced. It happens to be one of the only places to get sushi in Midtown. I have been trying to call for 25 minutes to get through to them. When finally get through, the lady picks up the phone, and I say I need a to-go order. She says “hold” abruptly, sits the phone down and I get to hear the man standing there talk about how bad the service has been tonight. I ordered anyway. Because, you know, the food IS good. Got the deluxe sashimi dinner and asked for no shrimp (allergy) and my friend got assorted nigiri and a few tempura vegetables. It took a little longer than usual for our food to come, but I can assure that my dish was worth the wait— artfully presented and almost too beautiful to eat. Glad I did. It was wonderful!
This was without one of the most bizarre dining experiences ever. The food was very good quality, however there was a manager on duty tonite who made a scene with a customer and disrupted the entire restaurant in the process. We were celebrating a special occasion, spent a couple hundred bucks and she completely blew the good vibes we had going and then she cleared the room of others who were also enjoying their evening out. Big bummer.
Best Japanese I have had on my visits to America because it is real Jap food.
First time trying sushi and it was good thanks for the good service as well
Absolutely devine... I ordered the Geisha Combo. The combinations of flavors were wonderful. I come as often as I can. I enjoy it all.
