Do not use this company. Currently they are 2.5 weeks late on a land appraisal. The appraiser told my lender that she was sorry but there was a death in the family this last weekend. Thats sad and I'm sorry, but they missed the appraisal due date by 2 weeks prior to this past weekend. Good luck and don't use them.
As a real estate investor I have used Seitz Appraisal services for years and have always received great service and communication throughout the process, there extremely accurate on there appraisals and would recommend them to anyone. They have a great team and have always met time lines for closings.
My mother-in-law's lender contracted Seitz to do her reverse mortgage. The appraisal came back 2 weeks late (and they did not respond to multiple phone calls) and way under-valued, and full of errors. The appraisal said there was no washer/dryer when their own photos (included in their appraisal) showed a washer and dryer - they listed "no attic" (there is an attic). Before closing, my lender had Seitz do our appraisal. With the pandemic and everything being backed up, yes, our appraisal was a little late, understandable, BUT when I e-mailed them they were quick to respond, same day, and were super friendly and very professional. They jumped on an issue my underwriter was having and all was smooth sailing from there. I really appreciated the way they handled my inquiry and was so happy to finally move into our home. Would work with them again!
