I cannot recommend Dr. Shibata highly enough. After a stapedectomy complication left me with extreme vertigo and complete hearing loss in my left ear, I spent eight months suffering and fearing that I would be permanently disabled. Bizarrely condescending. Seemed annoyed that a different physician had told me to follow up with a specialist. Continuously questioned why I was there, asked if I was lying about my medical history.
Please be careful with this doctor, the first and only doctor I've had to report. He injured my ear during a "harmless" procedure, which necessitated a trip to the ER. His cruel and removed response to my pain showed me that 1) His drive to avoid liability was more important than patient wellbeing, 2) He has deep-seated issues with empathy. No one should leave an appointment with new health problems or injuries.
