Not one pea or bean grew. I'm not new to gardening, either. One sad cucumber and two out of fourteen zucchini have seedlings. Bummed to say the least.

I am so, so pleased with our first SSE experience. My grandfather has been planting for over 45 years, but this year was our first go-around with Seed Savers, and we couldn't be happier. We ordered fairly late on a Wednesday evening on a whim -a pound of the Kentucky Pole beans and three packs of the Lazy wife beans- the email I received said they be delivered within seven to ten days (by standard delivery). Super fast shipping. Bought both plants and seeds. Plants are beautiful and seeds have almost 100% germination. Some pkts have over 2X the amount of seeds stated. Couldn't be happier with the quality!
You have to respect and love a company that stands behind its product.
SSE has done great work throughout the years. They inspired my parents to grow heirloom vegetables, which I then learned from them. I have my own gardens now and am committed to seed saving! It's such a fun and healthy way to get therapeutic exercise.

I love this site, they have been collecting Heirloom seeds for years from all over the country. If your grandparents have passed down family seed's, they may be interested in receiving a few starter seeds with the history behind them.
