I went to a storage auction here and it was the worse operated auction I've ever been to. She wouldn't accept any bids on the first ten units and wouldn't even come out until the 11th unit was bid on. It's not really a auction, she tells you what you have to pay. I was there and nobody bid just $50 on the first 10 units. Instead of calling it a auction it should just have a price on each unit.
It serves it purpose, but I just don't like not having access to your storage on Saturdays after one and no access at all on Sundays. You basically have to take off during the week if you need to organize.
