Super tasty- best creamed corn my boyfriend and I have ever had! The pork chops and fried squash were also awesome and the owner was really nice and friendly/helpful. We will definitely go back. Overall good experience.
Excellent food, cooked "country-style!" Creamed corn and macaroni pie are the BEST! Chicken tenders so tender you can cut them with your fork! Peas and butter beans are cooked like my Daddy used to cook them! If you don't see pecan pie, ask for it. Banana pudding is fixed like my Mama used to fix it! No complaints from me! Except it's only open Sat.& Sun. Mr. Poole is very sociable, too. Has many stories to tell about his farm.
I have heard a lot of nice things about The Secret Garden. My husband and I had to try it out. The fried chicken, collards, and green beans tasted just like the way my Mother cooked them. The peach cobbler was so delicious!! We have found a new place to eat.
Was concerned when I first pulled in but that changed quickly. Even though they were about to close, Sonny made sure we were taking care of. Food was great. So glad I found this gem!
Food is excellent! Fresh field peas, stewed squash, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, Salisbury steak with rice and gravy, meatloaf and fried pork chops...yummy! All tastes home cooked. Highly recommend.
I had been wanting to try this place for a while now. Heard the food was good, but had read many review that they gave out of food early on. Today, Van and I decided to give it a try. The doors opened at 11:am and closed at 3 pm. We arrived at 12:15 thinking we would be able to choose from all the foods offered for that day.
