Everything was delicious, I love that the majority of what you eat is grown locally by the family. My favorites included the cream corn, Lima beans, fried chicken, & peach cobbler. I will definitely be returning & highly recommend this secret gem!
This is real home cooking with selections of vegetables, several choices of meat and desserts. Friendly and courteous staff. I even got to meet the cook and saw where the delicious food was being cooked. I was impressed. When I'm back up this way I will be paying them a visit. Thanks for a delicious meal.
Amazing REAL southern home cooking. Don't let the plain outside of the business (or the fact that it is also a plant nursery) fool you. Your taste buds will thank you! Note that this is a CASH ONLY business. Tremendous fried pork chops, mac & cheese, creamed corn, fried squash, fried chicken... and don't forget the desserts: the BEST pecan pie and peach cobbler that I've EVER tasted. You owe it to yourself to give this out-of-the-way place a try!
SO HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND THE SECRET GARDEN !!! YUMMY YUMMY IS THE BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE THIS COUNTRY COOKING WITH FRESH VEGGIES ! FOR ONLY $12 YOU GET BUFFET WITH DESSERT AND TEA AND YOU CANT BEAT THAT ANYWHERE !!! SOMEONE REALLY NEEDS TO LET THE SECRET OUT ON THIS GREAT LITTLE RESTAURANT !!!
Very nice people! Great service! The Pecan Pie was AMAZING and THE BEST I've ever had, and I'm not crazy about most pecan pie! The fried chicken, cream corn, meatloaf, and sweet tea was also VERY good! And my mom and my grandma said that the fried squash was the best they've ever had along with the pecan pie! Overall great food, great restaurant, and I will definitely go back again!

So nice. Great service. We got there at 2:15, pretty close to closing time. Still plenty of choices to eat. Food was fresh and so nice to see a farm to table approach that is affordable. I complimented the tomato slices, which were the best i had tasted. The owner packed some up for me to take home! If we needed something, more tea and more ice, it was promptly given to us. They just made some loyal customers today.
Food was excellent! Down home cooking and friendly service need more places like this around here!
