Second Time Around This store is an upscale botique re-sale store. They carry designer brands like Gucci, Prada, DKNY, and more. They clothes are in excellent quality and while prices are still cheap, it sure beats paying new prices for these sought after brands.
This place is a Jewel! My daughters and I have shopped at Second Time Around for many years at both the current location on Burnet Road, and the original place that opened in the 1970âs. We live in Houston and discovered STA while on a trip to Austin. We stop by on most of our visits to Austin to see all the new items stocked in our size. Consignment If you like consignment botiques then you should check this one out. I shop there from time to time and I always find lots more than what I went in there for. They carry finely made clothing, upscale business and special event wear, and they specialize in name brands. They carry clothes that appeal and will fit both women and teenagers. Prices are pretty good for the quality and brand name.
Very Snobby I went there with sixteen items to place for sale. They ranged from Tahari to Gucci. She took only one of my items and told me to go and clean and press the rest. All of the items had come from the dry cleaners. A couple items were a little wrinkled, but come on, buy a steamer like other clothing stores. There were items there that were faded and damaged, and she rejected mine? For a store that purchases no inventory, I couldn't believe that she only consigned one item. Wonderful consignment store Well, I entirely disagree with Lisa L's review. In fact, I disagree so much that I'm wondering if she has the right store. I discovered Second Time Around shortly before they moved from the 38th Street location, and followed them to the new place on Burnet. It's my understanding that they've been around since the 70's. get a grip I have to disagree with the other opinions. They seem to have really changed for the worse since they moved from their location off 38th street. For the most part, the prices are out of control. They need to get a grip on the idea that these items are used. $1600 for a six seasons old Chanel jacket is not a bargain. What?? I love this place. I started shopping at Second Time Around a couple of years ago when I moved from Houston to Austin and I've never really been let down. I don't get to come in as often as I like because for a while I was a full time student and now I have a full time job but I always have a great time when I do come in. Vintage and More!! How neat is that? This place is awesome!! It reminds me of the 60's. It kind of makes me wish I had held on to those special items if you know what I mean! This store not only has second hand clothes, etc., but what a variety of items! My only problem is, they aren't open 7 days a week. I can spend hours in there just browsing, but at the end of my visit, I can always find something to purchase. From vintage to now, it's the best!!!
