I love Second Street Brewery (original location). The food and staff are consistently great. My only complaint is that whoever chooses the beers, doesn't know or enjoy porters and stouts. Santa Fe Brewing Co. brews one of the ten best stouts in the US ("Java Stout"), but 2nd Street always chooses to sell really thin, watered-down flavorless brands. Better to please the serious dark beer crowd than serve beer that won't taste too offensive to the yellow fizzy water crowd. They already have dozens of pilsners, lagers, and IPAs... read more

Great local brewery not quite to some of the best of those in KC but definitely great concoctions made here! Great people working & great clientele! Wonderful place to mingle with the locals!
The portabella mushroom wrap was excellent but the service was even better. Server was extremely knowledgable about their brews 😺
