Let me start by saying I’ve dined at Le Bernardin AND I made this reservation THREE WEEKS AGO, yet when I arrived we were seated in the BASEMENT aka The Tavern. When I asked about the possibly of my party of two being relocated to the actual restaurant I was told no. Since one of the reasons I wanted to dine there was the old house I went upstairs to use the restrooms so at least I could SEE the restaurant. RecommendedJust a beautiful place full of history and beautifully maintained. The food was top notch from the starters all the way through dessert plus they had a great cheese menu. Great service from staff who are all well versed in the menu choices and wine selections. Cannot wait for another opportunity to return. Reservations are a must, they are very busy.
In my 15+ years dining there, NEVER had a bad meal. Chef’s Table is recommended - well worth it!
