Our car salesman was almost my favorite person ever. He is a Navy Vet who served in Vietnam, met the Beatles, is an artist, is a hunter, and had many other stories that I was amazed by. One of them was how he, an air traffic controller not trained in search and rescue volunteered to rescue a downed Air Force Pilot that ejected into the ocean off the coast of Monterey.
