My water heater blew up, we had water everywhere! I have a SEARS Master Protection Agreement plan on my home, that clearly states this is an IN HOME repair done by them, plus it was still under it's own Sears warranty- a guaranteed repair, right? NOPE! They don't have a water heater this size, they stopped making them in 2015. Sears is the best. On time ,Professional..knowledgeable Polite. The problem was misdiagnosed by a previous service company, Sears came on and got it right. This is the second time that Sears came to the rescue. From now Sears is the first call .
Since we have 7 appliances under contract, they sent out two tech's, so it not take very long to complete our annual maintenance. Both presented themselves well and answered all of our questions.
The man came out and was very nice. He diagnosed the problem as an accumulation of ice and removed the ice. SINCE THAT TIME, the refrigerator is running water across the kitchen floor. I keep towels all around it to soak it up, but it will not stop. I turned off the water supply to the ice maker, but that did not slow the flow onto the floor. I can't afford another "DIAGNOSIS" until next month, so I will live with wet towels around the unit. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
We have a prepaid service agreement and our experience was not good. It took nearly two weeks to schedule an appointment and then we were scheduled for the first appointment of the day. After four hours we called and were told he was running late? and would be there in a couple of hours. Three hours later we called and were told that he would be there by the end of the day. Our service man arrived early after calling us. He went through the refrigerator and pointed out what he was doing and all works fine.
Great service no doubt. I called for my grams because her fridge wasn't working right. Had a repair guy out that next day. Was quoted for a price and paid less!!! My grams was happy about that for sure...
Repairman was good. did the work on dryer and refrigerator and cleaned up. I tis not his fault the fridge is a piece of crap.
It took too long for the service appointment. It was over two months from the time I called in for service and for person to come. By that time the food I couldn't save had spoiled. Then I was told by the repair person that my refrigerator was not made to be in cold garages. I assume it also should not be in a cold house such as when one is away and turns off the heat. We told the salesperson at Sears that we would be keeping the refrigerator in the garage but he must not have known to warn us. Otherwise, the service man was... read more
