My spine doctors referred me to Dr. McGarry. His resident did everything. Then Dr. McGarry strolled in, pointed at a year-old scan, and said it was nothing, and doctors often sent him patients they didn't know what to do with. A team of specialists in Houston diagnosed the tumor as being possibly aggressive and needing regular evaluation and follow-up. I tried to mention this, and he hadn't seen their films. I didn't know what else to say, so I left, and I would never recommend him to anyone. He didn't talk to me or look at ... read more

The front desk was very kind and efficient. However, Dr. McGarry did not give off a good vibe. He asked me to tell him my story. When I told him my local provider saw the MRI and said it was a sarcoma he lauged. I thought that was rude and made me uncomfortable. He looked quickly at my MRI from a couple of months ago and determined that what I had was benign and told me even having a biopsy would not do any good and that I needed to come back in 3 months for another MRI to see if there are any changes. He told me that the pa... read more

Dr. McGarry treated my mom and performed surgery on her leg. He thoroughly explained the process and placed us at ease. He is an expert in his field and we would recommend him to everyone.

Dr McGarry reviewed my MRI and explained what he saw, a gluteal mass. Suggested lipoma should be taken out of my gluteus. Two weeks later he performed surgery. Everything went as he explained to me. Post Op also has been as he and his nurse (Kerby) described. Both are very precise and responsive. Excellent Dr/surgeon.

Communication regarding pre-op and post-op care was Very Poor. A benign tumor was removed from granddaughter's femur. Dr, McGarry said she would be fine and no crutches would be needed. After 2 plus hours of surgery and a bone graft-she was in severe pain and on crutches for 6 weeks. She is a Sr. Nursing student trying to do Clinicals. Conversation about what to expect would have helped a lot. 4 weeks later she developed an infection in the incision and cellulitis around the incision. A call to the office nurse on Friday and... read more

Drove 2 hours, waited close to 45 minutes in the room, examined by a resident, then got to see the specialist finally for about 3-4 whole minutes. Very poor bedside manner, unfriendly, cocky, didn't examine me just asked how it all started. All I can say is I hope he was right when he said it's benign with just looking at the MRI. No explanation given as to how he came to that conclusion but I was quickly rushed out. I could have have a virtual visit and saved myself the drive and being alone because of course they won't let... read more

Those 2 very odd and I am scared because I just can't go back there- Weird vibe- they are rude and reluctant to answer questions. Awful experience- have seen him 3 times. Same each time. Another Doctor suggested I have a cocktail before going again and the vist may be more palatable.

Dr. McGarry and RN Kirby both have poor bedside manners. Long waits, normally hours past my original appointment time. Dr. McGarry does not like patients asking questions and seeking alternative treatments to his first suggestion. As an informed patient, I like to explore all of my treatment options starting with the least invasive before jumping into surgery. Appointment was very rushed, Dr. McGarry and his nurse Kirby are in the room for less than 3 minutes each visit. This has been a constant problems for years, but unfor... read more

After only 2 visits, Dr.McGarry and his associate Kirby was able to diagnose me. I have seen numerous doctors over the last 11 years and it's because of his professionalism, expertise and gathering of knowledge that he was able to do this. I believe the one time I waited long in the office it was because he was gathering additional info.
