Saw Dr Burke several years ago and my experience was verbatim as the other bad reviews posted. I have since been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) & MS, due to disease's progression I am currently awaiting a wheelchair. He brushed me off when I saw him. If only I would have known not to waste my precious time at this practice! Before seeing Dr Burke I was seeing Dr Brusbe with no compassion or caring. EDS patients are more likely to develop MS and with EDS patients MS presents differently, even though an MRI may sh... read more

Scheduling 2 long, reception confirmed once arrived, trying to schedule a follow-up per ASKED for appointment, & upon checkout. This Dr doesn't have a phone number because the front office is inadequate. Rushed appointment, asked why a medication was prescribed to me in the hospital (by another Dr. within same practice) & all but said I don't have what I've been dealing with for 30 plus years. Because, and I quote, 'I find it hard to believe you've gone this long with that disorder without a doctors care' and 'there is some ... read more

Would not recommend and will not go back. He came in, introduced himself slightly, spent some time on his computer. He said he was going to do some tests. Did the standard stroke test then asked me why I was there. When I gave him the multiple reasons based on results and imaging he stated that none of them were a problem. When I tried to give him the many concerning symptoms he discounted all as related to a sleep disorder. I pointed out the diagnosis and the symptoms that each of the drs I saw before him related to this di... read more

I was hospitalized due to facial numbness and the individual from his practice I was dealing with in the hospital was fantastic. Talked me thru every test and what they were for. When I needed an official MS diagnosis I had to schedule an appt for Dr. Burke (the ER referred neurology practice). First off, when someone is being diagnosed with a life long disease like MS the doctor MUST have empathy, not a ton but enough to not shove a bunch of drug pamphlets in their face and say have a look to let me know which one. I am not... read more

I found Dr. Burke to be very thorough, patient, kind, and comforting. (Although I did wonder at one point if I was on an episode of Impractical Jokers - he looks exactly like Murr!) My only complaint would be that I had to wait two months for an appointment, and I can't get on the schedule for further testing for another month.

I visited Dr. Burke after being diagnosed with MS. He was a very sedate and calming influence. He answered all my questions and made sure I had a folder for my MS information. He corresponds very appropriately via email and phone. I just wish he knew more about diet's role in MS but this is an area of very specialized knowledge.

Misdiagnosed me with multiple sclerosis. I had a PCNS lymphoma (i.e. I had cancer). His misdiagnosis almost cost me my life. Johns Hopkins did the biopsy and a few days later I was rolled to oncology from neurology to start treatment.

My first visit with Dr. Sean Burke was weird. The first 20 minutes, he sat in front of his laptop. BEFORE HE SAID HELLO, AND INTRODUCED HIMSELF. Then he asked some basic questions, and tried to sway me to changed my medication that I have been on for 15 years. I said NO WAY! I am doing really well on this medication. He then said I'll see you in 3 months. The 2nd visit was the same. Weird. On the 3rd visit, I brought my partner to discuss getting help for disability. Dr. Burke answer was, I'm not going to help you. My partne... read more

Dr gave a long thorough examination & concluded the exact opposite of what other tests had shown. We told him that multiple prior tests had ruled out his diagnosis but he said “I want to see for myself”, sent us for bloodwork and then filled out the paperwork for the tests wrong. It listed one test he wanted to see the results of but had the wrong code. The test facility caught the error and I had to go back to Drs office while my aged father waited at the test facility. When I got back to his office they told me to come bac... read more
