Dorothi = AMAZING HAIRSTYLIST – I wanted a different look for the summer so Dorothi was the one who gave me an AMAZING transformation. She put in a few highlights and low lights and gave me a hair cut. Dorothi knows what she's doing the minute she sees your hair. She does an AMAZING JOB every single time. I LOVE GOING THERE. =)

Nightmare – I paid over $200 for cut and highlights....My cut was uneven....Highlights were either too thin on the top.....or too chunky mid layer.....Dorthy should resign....She is by far the worst stylist in Chicago.....When I was doing my highlights, the solution was dripping all over.....I went back and got it fixed.....Which is all cool....but it is totally not what I wanted for the summer.....They toned it down, but I still can see the thin and thick highlights....Which made me look like I did my on color.....HORRIBLE!... read more

worst rudest receptionist ever!!!!! – The hairdressers and beauticians are great but the service, the fact that the customer is always wrong, the fact that after the most horrible experience I ever have had with the receptionist and then the owner emails you and says essentially "the receptionist was right but sorry want a gift card?" I'll never return even if it was free

Overcharged for the poor service provided – I was looking for a salon closer to home and decided to give this one a try. I saw Toni and on my first visit, she touched up color, which was fine. On the second visit I decided to get highlights and a cut....both were a disaster. She didn't listen to what I wanted. I don't normally write these sort of reviews since sometimes people just have bad days....but in this case, I feel I should warn people. I would not recommend anyone going to see Toni. My hair's never looked better! – I am a student and a busy girl, so I wanted to stop driving 30 minutes each way to go to the self-proclaimed "best" hair salons in the city. I did that. I was not impressed by them at all. Then I decided I wanted to chop off 5+ inches of my hair, and wanted to go try out Sean Patrick's, which is in my neighborhood. Best Haircut Ever – My first visit to the salon and luck was on my side. I was booked with a stylist who gave me the best haircut ever, really. He took time to really listen, gave me a realistic expectation, and delivered. When I returned for my second haircut, he asks how did it grow out. Frankly, that was the best part. I never had a bad hair day. Shannon rocks!!!!

Definately Not a Spa EXperience – I arrived at 9:45 my appointment was at 10:00. When I got there the doors were locked, there were stylists standing outside. At 10:00 customers were waiting but no one had the keys to open the shop. Stylists were calling on their cell phones trying to determine who was supposed to open. At 10:15 a car pulls up and an employee jumps out of the car with a key and opens the door. We all go in. The clients are seated, music is turned on, and the stylists prepare their stations. Fabulous Facials & Waxing – I was very happy with my service. The staff was friendly and offered me something to drink when I got there. The woman who did my facial, Carolina, listened to my needs, made great suggestions and did a fabulous job on my facial and waxing! I look forward to going back to her again! I have many facials over the years and I was very pleased with her work!

Don't bother – As a resident of University Village I was thrilled when a salon opened up. Tried it twice and will never go back! Sean Patrick's is overpriced for their services and to top it off they were rude on both occasions. Why be a patrone to a salon who doesn't display manners to its customers and does not offer anything beyond average? There are tons of true gems in the city of Chiacgo and this is definately not it!
