There were no sea lions in the cave when we arrived 9/19/20, we were told they were out training their pups. We were informed the best time to see them in the cave was December thru February, and the best time to see them on the rocks would be February thru April. Plan wisely! Still a neat experience all in all!! 😀
If all the sea lions have left for a significant amount of time (told by Sea Lion Cave rep that it was their feeding season), then it should be posted (web or any SM) for potential visitors before they make the drive. The crowd was around the building during Labor Day Weekend, so we returned early the next day. No sea lions, but pay a slightly discounted rate to see our empty cave and a video, and we’ll give you a 365-day rain check. Does that cover expenses to drive back from Texas? 😂
An amazing place to come and enjoy all the offerings!
bit of a wait. but evenly spaced between visitors and DONT FORGET YOUR MASKS. lol they are required nose and mouth
really cool cave and great scene too. staff are nice... it's a must to see 😊🥰
Wonderful thing to do while in Oregon. Love traveling the Oregon coast.
very very awesome fun experience
Ahhhh...Sea Lion Caves, what an experience going below to view the caves and the sea lions. We traveled here in the 1950’s before the elevator and I must admit the elevator is a vast improvement! Check out the jackets they sell - the one I bought I used all winter and stayed warm.
A bit covidious now. A bit crowded with some breaching mask rules
Sea Lion Caves has a 4.4 star rating with 7,623 reviews.
