Being from San Diego it’s a bit expensive to see sea lions (as they are very common) but we got to watch them figure out how to get up on the side of the mountain. It was truly a learning experience. The sea cave is huge and I’ve never been in an elevator they defended 200’ so smoothly. Shoot our hotel elevator is loud and a bit shaky and it’s only going up 3 floors. It took 3 years to build.

An unexpected gem. Well worth a visit. Quite a strong smell in the cave but that is to be expected.
We only saw 1 inside the cave but there were a few outside in the water. We plan to come back again when they're home.
מערה טבעית בגובה פני הים שמשמשת איכלוס אריות ים בימי החורף. אל המערה יורדים כ-35 מדרגות ואחריהן ממשיכים לרדת במעלית. המערה מאד גדולה וכוללת איזורים עם מיצגי וידאו, שלדים של אריות ים ומקומות בהם מתקבצים אריות הים. ניתן מהמערה לצפות במגדלור Heceta הנמצא במרחק של כשני ק״מ מהמערה. עלות כניסה 14 דולר למבקר. מאד מומלץ.
A great stop for the kids to stretch their legs.
Obviously the Sea Lions in their own natural habitat ... not a zoo, not a wildlife center, but in their cave with the ocean waves.
