Buyer Beware! Took out a loan and were assured we would not be penalized for early pay off. No so! Over $800 for paying off early. Is that the way a bank specializing in customer relations should act. Go somewhere else!
The SDCCU college area staff helped me with my pre owned car loan. David F. Was able to get me a check in a couple of minutes. The staff is professional and very well trained. I highly recommend see one of their people for any of your needs. Loujean has a great staff and are so polite and attentive! Service it truly deserving of very high scores!!
Because of mistakes made at this branch I had to endure hell in Chula Vista. So This review gets filed for both branches. I can't give a lower rating or I would. I don't know where to start. I have 5 examples of how bad they are but lets just do one. I was an executor and POA for a friend who passed away. It took me almost 4 hours to get the account closed, with tons of documentation including death and marriage certificates, copies of licenses and social security cards. The works. The people at this branch are very nice and helpful, BUT SDCCU has now canceled their electronic bank-to-bank transfer services, which makes it inconvenient to get money out, once you've put it in. My other credit union allows me to electronically link my accounts at different financial providers, not SDCCU. Why did they cancel this service late last year? Nobody can answer, and they don't have options beside billpay or wire transfer. I'll be opening an account somewhere else that lets me transfer my money like it's 2024.
This branch is horrible. I went to close my account. I was told that because I had a pending charge that I was unable to. I spoke to the teller saying that I would pay for pending transaction with cash from out of my purse. She wouldn't allow me to pay the one pending charge. I told her to take the exact amount of the pending charge and close the account. The teller took more than the pending charge didn't close the account and let the supposedly close account take a direct payment that I wasn't able to stop because my "clos... read more
