Fixed! – I have a laptop that had a video problem. I was told by HP that the laptop would have to be returned to HP for repair at my expense 324.00!!! I called TCG and they told me 158.00 and it could be done and back to me in a week! I brought my laptop in...three days later a tech called and said they were doing a video repair...the next day, done! 158.00 as they said and a very professional lady took my payment and informed me of the process that was done. They need more RAM. – I called ahead to verify they would be able to fit me in. I had a pleasant conversation with, Jennifer, and although she cannot answer even the most basic question on pricing or available hardware, I found her friendly and figured I would speak with a tech at the store. Nope. Only, Jennifer, and the dogs. What are my choices for RAM? For DVD drives? For sound cards? Who knows? Certainly no one at this store. Jennifer is my wife and although she has taken a huge hit (she was in a brain injury accident in 2002), she is brilliant. She is not a technician, but she is a brilliant accountant, watches the bills and is wonderful with people! She has put many people at ease with her sweet demeanor and is efficient at the counter as well as whatever else. She is a great asset to this company and I am proud of her.
Great Service and Friendly People! – I took my computer to The Computer Guy and was greeted by a young lady who put my fears to rest! She said that they had been experiencing lots of computers with the same problems as mine and that the techs were very good and would keep in touch with me all the way! Good People - Fast Friendly Service – These guys were very helpful! I had some keys broken on my laptop by my dog stepping on it. They checked the laptop and gave it back to me. When the laptop keyboard replacement was in, they called me and it took all of five minutes to replace. Great Service! Friendly People! How much better can it get than that!
Do not take your computer here – This place, which has since moved to California St was very disappointing. Starting with the woman at the front desk who seems to have little knowledge as to what's going on in her shop and ending with an inexperienced team of technicians; I found this place to be completely unsatisfactory. When I took in my computer, the technician told me he would call me five days later at the latest. After the sixth day, I heard nothing so I called them. He brought his computer to us with thousands of mp3's downloaded illegally w/ limewire with many duplicates. After formatting and reinstalling his OS, we loaded itunes and imported his music for him and the itunes library showed the duplicates. This clown wanted us to go through his itunes & 1 by 1 delete entries for his dupes. The woman at the front counter is brilliant, loving and friendly to everyone. If you have issues with her, that shows what kind of miscrient you are. Shame on you!
