If you like to hang with the locals then this is for you. The bbq is amazing without question. Simple menu with 3 side choices. The sauce is your Carolina vinegar based sauce but watch out - the red pepper flakes will throw a punch in the back of your mouth. I can see why this place is in the top 5 list.
Go out of your way for this place it is that good don't be late they may run out
Scott’s Bar-B-Que is an area favorite. It has old time charm. The location is quaint- restaurant meets the road. Careful exiting and entering. Friendly, locals meet you at the door. Most people come for the pulled pork. I enjoyed the smoked chicken. There are fresh cake options available. The prices are cheap and the portions are good. Dine-in options are available. Most people take out. I, recommend, Scott’s and will return!
Friendly people, very rustic and basic, the food is sooo delicious, a family operated landmark in the middle of nowhere. Definitely worth the trip. We go 2-3 times a year (it takes us over 4 hours one way)
