I am 5 months pregnant and have yet to receive any pre natal care. My obgyn that delivered my first 2 babies stopped taking my insurance so I was forced to travel here. I have to take public transportation I called and told them I was running late and the woman on the phone said she would let them know. This was a very pleasant experience. We went to day surgery and the staff were very compassionate and caring. The hospital was laid out with easy to follow routes. They had a nice waiting area. A small but great cafeteria with an assortment of fresh and hot meals. We found a fabulous coffee spot that sold Starbucks products and coffees. Along the way we discovered a cute and quaint gift shop. The surgical rooms were well stocked and ready for each patient. This is not the hospital, if you want decent care. Please go somewhere else. My little sister has been waiting for surgery for almost 24 hours now...and still waiting. She was originally scheduled for her surgery 7/23 at 4pm, then 6pm, then 8pm, then 10am today (7/24), then 12pm, and now we are being told it will be at 2:40pm. Meanwhile, she has not eaten since Tuesday 7/22. She is only 105 lbs, and her glucose was 61 last night. The excuse they keep giving is that they have other emergencies that take priority over her. I have never dealt with a nurse with less compassion to a suicide victim as I witnessed today with my son!! We are 3 hours away trying to find out if we should wait or make the drive with 2 young babies fearing we might miss him and have traveled that far for nothing with the babies. This nurse ignored my DIL phone calls, had NO COMPASSION whatsoever to the situation and told a suicide patient (because my DIL and I called) it was his responsibility to update his family!!! WTH!!!
