Best Martial Arts Training in Charlotte – I have trained at Scott Shields Martial Arts Academy for several years and my children have recently starting training there, too. Master Scott Shields is a wealth of knowledge in many styles of martial arts and he is an excellent and patient teacher. He works very hard to transfer all the knowledge he can to his students. Best School EVER!!! – I am a parent and also a student of Sifu Shields. We have been there for about 2 years and LOVE IT!!! I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn a martial art in a safe and friendly envorinment. They greet you with open arms and treat everyone like family. Ashley Nee is wonderful with the kids! They beg to go to class instead of wanting to stay home! I have been to a few schools over the years and I wish i would have found them years ago!
Excellent martial arts school – I have been a student at Scott Shields Martial Arts for over three years, studing Jeet Kune Do and Kali. There are classes in other martial arts available, so students have a good choice of material. The atmosphere is friendly, and there is always an instructor or senior student to help you out. SSMAA is THE place to learn martial arts! – Sifu Shields and all of his instructors are incredible. Sifu Shields has so much knowledge in so many martial art styles there is never an end to the new material he can present. If you are looking to actually learn martial arts and how to defend yourself, instead of just buying different colored belts, this is definitely the place to do it. Great School,Great Value – Best Martial Arts school i ever been in, after years of training at a boxing gym, i felt i had learned good technique until learning more at this school, the instructors are very educated and technique oriented. Great school for the whole family! – My family and I love SSMAA! Our shy 6-year old is quickly coming out of her shell and making wonderful friends in her Muay Thai classes. At the same time, my wife enjoys every opportunity to practice her Triangle chokes on me in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! ;) Sifu Shields and Ashley Nee are wonderful instructors with a wealth of knowledge! We love our 'family-time'!!
Serious Martial Art School – Scott Shields Academy offers a variety of arts to suit your tastes or preferences. He is a skilled teacher genuinely interested in students absorbing the material and becoming accomplished martial artists themselves. Best Martial Arts School Around! – I have no idea what these other people are talking about but I have really enjoyed training and learning at Scott Shields Martial Arts Academy! The people are so friendly and the instruction is WORLD CLASS! They are very patient and are excellent instructors. The staff has always helped in any way they can.
