I went to Dr. Schoifet for another opinion about severe pain in my knee. An MRI had showed a torn miniscus, a synovial cyst and a couple of other minor strains in the tendons. He did a bunch of new X-rays before seeing me and then told me that my bones look pretty good despite some arthritis. He didn't look at the MRI that had been done about 5 weeks prior. While I see a number of positive reviews, I unfortunately cannot make the same sort of recommendation. I came to Dr Schoifet after injuring my left knee playing Pickleball. I tried other treatments first, such as injections and physical therapy. They did not yield positive results, so I consulted an orthopedic surgeon at another practice, and he recommended surgery.
