I came in to seek help with ADHD diagnosis and treatment, but I guess it turned into a lecture about being fat. Amiri asked me questions about my sleep patterns and implied that the only possible cause for me having ADHD symptoms was because my sleep was poor because I am fat. I'd seen Dr. Amiri for approximately 60 days. He asked for the MRI imaging. Over the course of several weeks I received requests from Amiri asking for my medical records. I said they were sent, he said he'd check on it. Amiri came back and said his office didn't have them. He wanted me to drive down to the imaging center, over 2 hours away where I had it done to get a physical copy. I wish there was a zero star option. After Dr Borresen left, the practice fell under new management. I developed a good Dr/Patient relationship with Dr McConnell...until the past three visits. Sadly the issue was not with the Dr. But the incompetent back-office and scheduling. Late last year I had an appointment in the University office on North Tryon. He was texting on his phone sporadically during our visit. Did not seem to be paying much attention to his us. Ultimately sent my husband for extensive blood work but 10 days have passed and we haven't received a thing. I initially called and asked them to send results to our surgeon and primary. They assured me they would but they didn't. I called today and they are "checking" to see what happened. Still waiting for the promised call back. Horrid office and doctor. Will be switching asap

Had a sleep study with Jennifer Runge at Meck Neurology and she was excellent. Dr. Amiri was great also. Would definitely recommend to others. They were very accommodating to my schedule.

I typically don't leave negative reviews however feel it important this time. I felt very uncomfortable with this dr. He came across as pompous and would give me no time to express what I was dealing with. When I did finally get to speak as to what I was dealing with, he would quickly cut me off and I felt he was not listening at all. His bedside manner was horrible. I felt he could have cared less about my situation wanting to change my medication and told me it was stress related and that I needed to find a new job. As tho... read more

Dr Amir's Staff, are, not the Freindliest in, The Laurinburg Office. The Skinny Caucasian Nurse. At Mecklenburg Numerology, Laurinburg, NC. Seemed, Jealous, of, me. Dr. Amir, is, very, Temprimental. Amiri, ordered, numerous Urinalysis. Medication, wasn't, filled. Until lab Corp results were,*Processed. I moved, for, a-couple months. I did, go, to, urgent care For a Refill.
