I was so disappointed by the whole experience. We visited while on vacation this past week. Food was mediocre and service was even worse. Had to send our meal back because it was extremely dry and over cooked. The second plate came back lukewarm. The truffle fries and clam chowder were tasty, the salmon Mac n cheese and steak Oscar was a complete miss.
Wow, easily the best seafood restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of attending. My bouillabaisse was amazing as were the crab cakes and the dishes of my party. Easy to see why this place is a long favored SF landmark!
All I can say is that I love this restaurant so far.

Scomas is an institution. The service and food are both amazing. Every time we come to SF we make a point of going. Treat yourself at the end of a lovely stroll down the Embarcadero, you will love it!
