I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Sclaroff in 2016. The top two were okay and healed fine. However, on my bottom jaw, he "reflected" my gums--meaning he sliced them, peeled them back to get better access to my impacted teeth, and then was *supposed* to pull them back and stitch them up--except he never pulled my gums back. I left my appointment with the bone of my jaw exposed. I came back a week later, concerned about, you know, my exposed bone, and he laughed in my face and told me it would
Doctor office is nasty & dirty & rude. Doctor & nurse tried reusing USED gloves on me, they didnt wash hands from leaving from room to the next, doctor didn't look at my file before screaming out bring her penicillin which I'm highly allergic to. The doctor didn't even pick up my file which was laying in front of him, I was a patient sent down from the hospital to have a tooth removed. This office is sooooo unprofessional. DON'T USE HIM PLEASE...U MAY END UP WORST OFF
Dr.Sclaroff is an amazing surgeon with excellent humanistic qualities. He is kind, thoughtful, and diligent. His approach brings confidence and trust in his patients. He treated my daughter extremely well with excellent results.
I have been seeing Dr. Sclaroff for many different things for over 25 years! The most recent was for an implant supported denture, and I wish I had done this years ago! He does explain everything but I have never felt like he was berating me-as a teacher at Washington University for many years, that is probably why-I personally appreciate the explanation!! I will be sorry to see him retire!
Alan Sclaroff is the best. I went in with an abscessed tooth that had gotten real bad. I was in a ton of pain. He explained every part of the process and how much pain it would cause me. He also explained the cost for each procedure. He quickly drained the abscess and removed the tooth. I feel times better. The office personnel were extremely helpful. They explained all the aftercare and were courteous through the entire process.
Receptionist is rude and unhelpful. Doctor Schlaroff clearly is knowledgeable, but assumes everyone is an idiot and is condescending. I have a PhD in genetics for christ sake, don't talk to me like a child. Also, he charged me $355 for literally 5 minutes of contact and his office messed up the paperwork so I have been having to straighten this out with my insurance company over the last several months, no thanks to his office.
Extremely rude to patient and family members. He is knowledgeable and explains details well, but needs to work on his interpersonal skills.
