He and his staff constantly work to answer all the questions you have about your eyes and the eye diseases you have. Highly recommend anyone who is considering or has been referenced for cataract surgery to go to Dr. Shultz. I had completely lost vision in one eye due to cataracts and also had previous eye injuries that he explained would make the surgery more complicated. His professional approach gave me confidence to get the surgery done which went very well. When I went back the next day for my follow up I had 20/15 vision. Although thorough, Dr Schulze's bedside manner is off-putting. I work in a clinical, ambulatory care setting and I have never rushed a patient through a visit or made them feel like he/she can't ask questions. I experienced this today along with my parent. I chose to make an appointment on her behalf for a second opinion and to trouble shoot her issues. Which is allowed. This visit was no way to bash the previous eye surgeon. Like everyone else I was really frightened to have my eyes ..well cut on . The thoughts of what if it doesn’t work and I loose my vision! Oh my gosh .. Dr. Schulze and his team are incredible. I had my left eye done first with a corrective vision lens for distance. The surgery room is interesting lots of patients are lined up in ur individual bed, with curtains between u and ur fellow “friends “. Great Dr and Great staff.
No complaints. Everything moved efficiently. Option for sedation. I didn’t need it. He and the staff talked me through the whole process. Went in with 20/70ish vision left with 20/12.5ish.
I was very pleased with the knowledge of Dr. Schulze and his explanation of his surgical procedures. The staff was pleasant also. The nurses in the surgical center did an excellent job.I have had two cataract surgeries with Dr. Schulze and my vision has greatly improved.
It took a while to get in the door, but any uncertainty I may have had went away as soon as I met Dr. Schulze. He is very professional and kind. I don't do well in medical settings, but at no point was I ever worried or concerned about the procedure. It was smooth and painless. I would highly recommend Dr. Schulze to anyone who is eye-curious.
