Had the eagle street tacos, tacos were good but the salsa that came with tasted like it came straight from a can.
Outstanding! to say anymore would cheapen the review.
I have been to Win Schuler's in ages. It was a convenient place for my husband and I to stop for lunch on or or way to Chicago. My husband had one of their burgers and I can't recall what I had but both were delicious. And of course everyone gets the famous cheese with nice flatbread crackers. We plan to stop again on our next trip to Chicago.
My brother and I stopped by on our way back from my cabin. We are Schuler's and he has never been there. I had the onion swiss soup, he had the Schuler salad. It was a little $$ for what we got but it was good. We of course love that we can get Schuler shirts, glasses etc. there as well. It has been tradition that my other brother stops and buys our Christmas presents there!
Haven't been here since 1970 and it didn't let me down! Prime Rib was probably the best we've ever had - and my husband is very hard to please! Caesar Salad was perfect - not cold but almost room temperature. So glad we stopped in for dinner! Of course- don't forget about the cheese!!!
I had a marvelous beef brisket sandwich and bleu cheese potato chips (hand cut). Both were marvelous, especially the brisket. Only disappointment was the green beans. Looked good on the plate but wayyyy overdone. Next time I'll be sure to order them al dente. Server Sarah in the bar was friendly and attentive. A wonderful experience.
Best prime rib and the Swiss onion soup is to die for. Have never been disappointed yet.
Phenomenal service every time we visit. Treated us like royalty on our wedding night, even though our group was arriving as the kitchen was closing. We've been returning for 30 years.
