I have been in this bariatric program for 7-8 months now. The only people who have been nice to me at this office are the dietitian and the surgeon. The desk staff are hateful and so is Cathy R. Hildebrand the NP. Upon my first appointment I arrived early, attempted to fill out my paperwork and was called back before I was done. I researched 3 different bariatric centers and chose Schneck. The staff is absolutely amazing and very supportive. Dr. Millick is a wonderful surgeon and very down to earth. Jill is a fantastic dietician and takes the time to explain things and answers questions. Cathy is the NP who runs the program. She is my biggest supporter. Yes, she is strict and she is tough. I’m not the type to write bad reviews, only positive ones… but, with that being said.. I had a bad experience today with evidently the only Nurse Practitioner in the unit. I arrived early, (15 mins early) & the only one in the waiting room. I was filling out my paper work, the nurse weighed me & measured me, checked my blood pressure & asked me a few questions so I didn’t have any time to complete my paperwork while she’s asking me all these questions. The very first nurse who's had weight loss, herself, was lovely! I was excited to get started! The second one was cantankerous. Not only did she NOT need to know why I'm on SSI in order for this surgery to be performed because they aren't related, as soon as she found out I have borderline personality disorder (which should have been in the paperwork sent over from Columbus in all honesty, so someone dropped a ball), her demeanor was abrasive and inappropriate.
