In 1958 a dining room was added. The bar area was enlarged and a fireplace constructed in 1962. At that time, the oval bar, unique to the area, was built. The formula the young couple used to build their creation into a local institution was as simple as it was timeworn. Offer great food at reasonable prices, provide excellent service, in a friendly atmosphere.

RecommendedGreat family bar/restaurant. One of the few salad bars left in the world. Terrific soups!
I am beyond impressed with the service of this establishment. The waiters were absolutely fantastic. I had never been here for food before and they had a wonderful breakfast buffet. Major props to the gentleman working here! Just wonderful! I will be back for sure!
We have never had a bad meal at Schmidty's. One of my faves is the Whiskey Jameson steak but Chicken Oscar really rocks. Jerry always goes for prime rib. Best salad bar around. Friendly staff, & fun fellow diners. Best values for the $$.
