Good seafood with fair service Schermerhorns Seafood is a place I like to visit for occasional seafood that is difficult to find elsewhere. Whether you are stopping by to purchase one of their fried seafood entrees at the restaurant or some fresh seafood to take home, it is a treat. RECEPTIONEST WHEN ASK ME ON A SATURDAY MORNING AFTER BREAKFEAST IF I WANT TO GO TO SCHERMERHORN'S FOR LUNCH I DO THE HAPPY DANCE. THE CLAM CHOWDER IS LIKE NOT OTHER AND THE SERVICE IS GREAT! lAST SATURDA WE HAD THE CLAM CHOWDER FOR OUR STARTER (AWSOME) AND HE HAD THE BAKED STUFFED SOLE AND I HAD THE GOLDEN FRIED SHRIMP. OMG! WHAT A LUNCH AND FREE REFILLS ON YOUR DRINK
The Crabs arn't only on Ice Here is a place that could be so great. It is a well established seafood restaurant and fish market. It used to be you could order a lobster dinner, and they would give you PLASTIC UTENSILS. They now give actual METAL FORKS, but charge you $2 for 'using' their lobster cracker. You get your money back if you don't steal it and run home to put it on the fireplace mantle where you display you vast collection of lobster crackers. this is the best place for seafood schermerhorns does have the best seafood in town most of the staff lacks personality and could use a fresher course in this department to improve theirselves
Lynn B They have a great little business. The seafood can be eaten there or as take-out. They also have a great selection of fresh seafood to take home and prepare yourself. They also sell ice cream I especially like stopping there in the summer when on a bike ride.
restaurant Schermerhorns is a casual restaurant with good seafood as well as a wide variety of non seafood offerings. The prices are competitive and I've always felt I got good value here.
Great Swordfish This is a place that we visit occassionally for fresh seafood. A few months ago we bought swordfish from here. It was excellent, and the service was wonderful . They are open all the time, even late on Sundays. This is a much better choice then going to the supermarket.
