As an OB/Gyn I try to give each patient the best individualized care I can. I consider a patient as a whole person and address many issues that may be affecting her obstetric or gynecologic health. I strive to provide the most up to date and best care for each patient. My goal is to improve your health and then help you to maintain it. We listen carefully to your concerns and then address those as best as possible.

I felt the doctor was extremely rude and she was not professional at all. I am under treatment with another doctor for something very personal and she asked several questions regarding this after I informed her it wasn't of her concern and then she made rude remarks about my doctor. I thought maybe she was having a bad day and went two more times and both times she was just as rude. I have never returned and will not ever recommend her to anyone. Rude, rude, rude.

Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Dr. Schalau accused me of being a drug addict and never asked me how I was doing when I was in labor. I am a very health-conscious and intelligent woman, and I was treated as if I were subhuman. She also yelled at my husband and threatened my midwife. Her bias against homebirth is clear.
