this place was bought in 2016 by dr.singh when dr. schaefer retired, its new name is comfort dental arts- BEWARE. This place is horrible!!!The only positive of this place is the associate dentist, Dr o- she's great. She's very thorough and knowledgeable and works hard to make sure your visit is as comfortable as possible. She does a great job explaining the procedures each step of the way. Sadly this place is under the worst management I've ever encountered. The owners wife has run this place into the ground. She treats the employees terribly, creating a high stress hostile environment, which explains why the employee turn over rate is so high here, always new faces. Policies change daily, they won't tell you what your treatment totals are ahead of time so you can prepare financially per instruction from the wife, they completely overbook the schedule in a way that's unmanageable causing a chaotic, rushed atmosphere resulting in poor patient/ customer service. And they nickel and dime you anywhere they can, adding bogus and outrageous up charges into various products and procedures. The owner used to care about quality over quantity, that has changed drastically over the past couple years, now its just about how much money can they make off of you. Just another corporate revolving door mindset parading as a small private office.

When scheduling the appointment I was clear on my beliefs about the dangers of fluoride. I was told this would not be a problem. During the appointment I was pressured and belittled by both the dentist and a receptionist because of my belief. I also noticed they do not use disposable covers over the light handle and other equipment they frequently touch while doing dental procedures and the floor around the chair and the parts that were clearly visible under equipment were disgusting and very dirty. The office staff seems disorganized and had trouble with my insurance billing. I have not had this issue previously. I will look for a new dentist.

My visit went well. Had 2 fillings. Hardly felt the numbing shot in my gum. He is not a full service dentist. No extractions, or root canals. Thats the only problem with him. The one girl answers the phone can be quite grumpy. She was to call when she knew what i'd have to pay and i had to call 3 days later. He's a nice dentist and gentle as a dentist can be.

The only reason this business even received one star is because I was forced to choose a rating. If it were up to me, I would choose a -* or two. The reason for this decision was for several reasons. One, when I discovered that the company incorrectly told me that my insurance was accepted, they refused to take responsibility. Instead of performing some level of good customer care, they decided to hang up on me on the phone because I had several questions regarding this and they were ready to go home for night! The receptionist said, "We are closing and can't deal with this right now." I discovered again that they had not confirmed my insurance card whatsoever until I brought it to their attention. The insurance representative sent me a copy of the information showing that they had never verified my insurance even though they told me that they had! After not allowing me to come in to sit down with their financial department to work something out or bring this to the attention of Dr. Schaefer because his staff members were treating me so poorly at this point, I finally told the person that the least I could do at this point was give them a bad review. As soon as I said this to the woman on the phone, (I have all names written down by the way), she said to me, "You can go ahead and do that, and we will let all of our partners that we d business with know who you are." If you are at all familiar with HIPPA laws, this is completely illegal. I told her so and ended the discussion. Needless to say, they were reported to BBB and the local HIPPA agency for their discretions.

Are you confident that this provider will continue working with you until a solution is reached? No, I'm always worried they're going to settle with a solution that isn't the best
